Craig Biggio Lead-Off ??? The Astros manager, former Astros pitcher, Larry Dierker, made the right decision to move Craig to the lead-off spot. Craig gets on base in many ways. He led the majors in getting hit by the pitch. When the ball comes his way he doesn't move, he just turns his head, grindes his teeth and takes one for the team. Craig also had 88 RBI's and over 20 homeruns in the lead-off spot. Now that is Amazing. Craig also led the N.L. in Runs 148, three shy of theN.L Runs per season record.

Derek Bell had over 20 homeruns, and over 100 runs batted in last year.

Jeff Bagwell, 1991 Rookie of the year, and 1994 MVP, is the best all around first-baseman to play the game. Last season he became the first, first-baseman ever to get more than 30 homeruns, and 30 stolen bases in a season. He also had almost 150 RBI's, 43 doubles, 6 triples, and 120 RUNS. He also had over 100 walks. He is a big offensive threat to the opponent.

Moises Alou, the newest Astro, acquired from the World Series Champs, had a great season for Florida last year, he had over 20 homeruns, 100 RBI's, 100 RUNS, and plenty of stolen bases. This will be really interesting to watch him in the clean-up spot.

Sean Berry, sidelined with some injuries last year still managed to show some power with 17 homeruns, and 84 RBI's.

Tim Bogar, young, quick shortstop, not much power but good batting average. Tim also had a 24 game hitting streak last season.

Richard Hidalgo, a venezuala native, showed his young defensive skills in Left field last year. Now he has to start learning how to hit the ball.

Brad Ausmus, a very underated catcher, has a very strong arm and showed it in his stats last season.

The Astros Pitching Staff, was ranked Fourth in the N.L., last season.
